I have a couple of artist friends who battle with the idea that if you use an application (Photoshop, camerabag, instagram) that it isn’t really art. Of course that was the argument from a painter who hadn’t touched his brushes in 5 years.  I figure if someone can take a truck load of dirt, empty it on a museum floor and have it considered “genius”, using an application to alter an image isn’t nearly as offensive. Below I’ve taken some paintings and messed around with different applications and although I tend to be a purist; I have to say that they don’t bother me at all.
